Rheumatoid Arthritis is a debilitating condition which affects hundreds of thousands of people and their families in the UK. It is an incurable auto-immune disease that causes pain, stiffness and swelling throughout the body. As it is constantly active it can cause severe fatigue and poor mental health. It also puts sufferers at an increased risk of heart disease.

RA runs in our family and we wanted to raise awareness as well as much needed funds for support and research.

We are planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, also known as “The Roof of Africa” which stands at 5,895m above sea level and presents a formidable challenge to anyone embarking on the climb. It will be a massive feat for both of us and we are excited and terrified in equal measure!!
