World Cancer Day is an annual event on, 4th of February to raise awareness on cancer.
It aims to inform the general public on how cancer is detected and how it can be prevented and treated. This can decrease death rates caused by cancer and an opportunity to unite on this cause.
Health Professionals for Yemen (HPY) and The Farah Saeed Trust (FST) are fundraising together for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of World Cancer Day. MacMillan Cancer Support aims to provide support to cancer patients, their families and community members in the UK through information, training, advice and research.

The Farah Saeed Trust (thefst.weebly.com) is a group of professionals who volunteer in their spare time to conduct a range of programmes and projects to inspire, educate and help within their ability. It is named after Dr Farah Saeed, an amazing person diagnosed with gastric metastatic cancer in March 2014 at the age of 27 and passed away on 8th September 2014. One of its programmes is the Farah With Me cancer project that aims to raise awareness of cancer and fundraise for cancer charities.
