Story
In September 2018 we tragically lost our wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend Debby.
She was taken too soon and it has been one of the hardest and saddest experiences for the entire family. However we were fortunate enough to get a place for Debby, in her last weeks at Dorothy House Hospice in Wiltshire. The care, time, love and support the staff at Dorothy House gave not only Debby but the entire family was, without doubt, our saving grace.
They provided us with a space to spend time with Debs, which was warm and welcoming. The staff always had time to talk, explain what was happening and comfort us. The chef designed special meals for Debs, massage treatments were arranged for her too. She had views of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, and the breeze would bring in the scent of the lavender from outside. In her last few weeks Debs received such wonderful care, and we will forever be indebted to Dorothy House for making such a horrific time ever so slightly more bearable.
We, as a family, cannot begin to thank Dorothy House enough. So we want to raise enough funds to cover her time there. We don't know how long it will take or what crazy challenges and events we will all be taking on to hit our target but if you can help us reach it we would be very grateful!
