Story
Update 2021: So its finally on October 3rd 2021. Same goals; probably also more challenging. Additional motivation is that in early 2020 my Uncle Brian sadly died with Alzheimer's.

Back in 2012 when I first started to try and get fit my target was to do the London Marathon in 2013. Finally 4 attempts later I have got a place. This is an opportunity to not only to satisfy a life goal but also crucially to have another opportunity to raise funds for a charity that is very important to my family - the Alzheimer's Society.
My nanna, Lilly McKeown, unfortunately suffered and died from this dreadful disease and it continues to impact my family. At a time in life when we cherish the presence of our elderly people in our lives Alzheimer's robs us of their real love and knowing participation in our lives. Please make a donation to help us overcome this decease.
So what's the deal? I get to do something I love and you put in the money ... doh! However over 13 miles and it gets hard. So I get focus and drive from knowing others are donating money from my efforts. Then via pictures, social media, T-shirt logos we also get to promote Alzheimer's Society.
Go on, just another time please hit the donate button.
Cheers
Martin
