KISS works in Uganda to support vulnerable children, their families and their communities. It does this by providing funding for education; medical treatment; families that care for orphaned children or are in difficult circumstances; support for young mothers and social outreach projects.

Story

My name is Nicole, and I am the President of the KiSS society 2016/17.   After visiting Uganda in October 2015 in connection with KiSS (Kiddies Support Scheme), I was able to gain insight into the incredible work that they do to support the development of vulnerable children. KiSS supports these children through supplying access to healthcare and education, as well as supporting their general wellbeing. I was so inspired by their work that I promised myself that I would always continue to fundraise and promote the charity.

I initially decided to challenge myself by setting a fundraising target in accordance to my age this year. So, as I turned 19 in September, my target this year is £1,900. However, I have recently become a KiSS Campus Ambassador, so I have decided to set up a KiSS society at the University of Nottingham, to promote the aims of the charity and to continue my fundraising journey.

There is an incredible team of students dedicated to KiSS after hearing some of the stories I have shared, and we have some fantastic ideas for fundraisers.
