Leith Hill Climb for Future Hope

Leith Hill Climbing Challenge · 18 May 2020
On Wednesday myself and hopefully one or two socially distanced guests will be completing the Leith Hill Spider cycle route (https://www.strava.com/routes/27311251) to raise money for Future Hope, a charity very close to my heart which is operating within a community severely affected by the current Covid19 crisis.
The cycle itself takes in all 8 ascents of Leith Hill, covering 100km, with over 2000 vertical meters climbed, on roads with gradients reaching over 20%. This is going to be a serious day of climbing.
Future Hope is a charity operating in Kolkata, India, providing housing and schooling for orphans and street children from the cities slums. During my time with Harlequins I visited the charity a number of times and can attest to the great work they do in provided the most vulnerable of children a future. On top of their usual work they are assisting their day scholars and the communities in the slums with emergency ration packs during the Covid19 crisis, communities that have been hit especially hard due to their reliance on daily paid jobs.
Thank you for visiting the page. I know it’s a tough time for everyone but any donation will be greatly appreciated.
