IRONMAN UK · 14 July 2019 ·

St Mungo’s provides a bed and support to more than 3,150 people a night who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

Story

With years of toil ahead and lager fueled memories of university fading fast, I thought I needed to challenge myself and do something worthwhile.

Encouraged by my ever supportive father "George, you can't run or swim and I've never seen you on a bike".. I decided to enter an Ironman Triathlon: a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run. Back to back. On 14 July in Bolton.

The training regime is brutal so apologies to my friends and family who haven't seen much of me recently - I'll make up for it after 14 July!

In the meantime any support or encouragement appreciated.
