CLS is the original branch of what is now a worldwide movement of people dedicated to listening to and supporting people through difficulties in their everyday lives; problems that sometimes feel too much for them to bear alone. The work of Samaritans makes a huge difference and saves lives.

CLS Volunteers pick up the phones, speak to people, answer emails and texts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The lights have never gone out at CLS since we moved to Marshall Street in Soho in 1987, but without donations, none of this would be possible.
