London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running my first ever marathon in aid of the teenage cancer trust and my aim is to raise £2000 and awareness for this great charity.

I will be running the marathon in memory of my cousin Ryan Murphy, who sadly, at the young age of 19, lost his brave battle with bone cancer in 2011. Ryan was a fun, outgoing and a genuinely down to earth guy who was massively into football, sport and fitness and was loved by so many. Ryan never let the cancer get him down and I hope I can use that to motivate me and really do him proud.

Every day 7 young people, aged 13 to 24, are diagnosed with cancer. With the £2000 raised, we can aid the teenage cancer trust in helping people like Ryan, providing support through outstanding teenage cancer trust wards in hospitals around the UK, and fund specialised nursing staff who help run them.

Please donate as little or as much as you can. Every little helps and I'll use all the generosity to push me through all the hard training, long runs and of course, race day in April.  Thank you all once again and I hope and I can do you all proud!!
