Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support.
Back in February 2019, my 15 year old brother Zac suffered 2 heart attacks and in Zac's doctor's words was "3 hours from death". After spending 7 weeks at the Heath Hospital in Cardiff, Zac was diagnosed with Myocarditis and Arithmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC). After his diagnosis, Zac was flown to Bristol Children's Hospital. During his time here, he underwent many procedures and tests, including lifesaving surgery where he was fitted with a Subcutaneous Implantable Cardiovertar-Defibrillator. He is one of the youngest to have this surgery done in the UK.
For those of you who know Zac, it will come as no surprise that he has dealt with his life changing diagnosis with courage, strength and motivation. We are so incredibly proud of him.
If it wasn't for the BHF and the valuable research they carry out to help cases such as Zac's this wouldn't be possible. Zac is one of the lucky ones, but there are many more who are not so lucky. I'd be so grateful for any support you can give.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Cheers,
