Story

My name is Gabe Adams and I am 17 years old. I wanted to get involved with the 2.6 challenge to raise money for the charity Papyrus as an amazing talented young girl called Lucia May Elizabeth Holt aged 13 sadly took her life at the beginning of the UK's lockdown. Lucia was one of my longtime close friends younger sister. She was a beautiful young girl with a lovely family and no-one had any idea she was struggling. This has obviously devastated the family and I really wanted to do something in a small way to remember her and to help stop other young people making this choice.

In this age of social media which can be positive there is also pressures on young children and teenagers. It is ever important for them to know if they can hold on and get help or talk to someone, things can be done to help and support them.

I am a GB snowboarder and during the Covid 19 lockdown I have built a skate ramp with my lottery athlete APA funding so I could continue my off snow training and so I am going to challenge myself to do 26 different tricks over 26 days. Please fund me for this really worth while charity who help to prevent suicide in young children and adults and support the families who it devastates.

Please look me up on my Instagram page for daily tricks : gabe.adams_
