On Sunday 18th May, Xavi and I are taking part in this charity fun run to raise money for my charity, Manor Gardens, and the brilliant work they do for people with learning disabilities. Xavi's even going to try for 10k... so wish him luck!

There are very few opportunities for people with learning disabilities in Islington to learn the life skills they want to. So many who want to learn how to make their favourite sandwich or soup, or how to buy the ingredients for it at the local supermarket, just don't get that opportunity. That's where Manor Gardens (and Community Kitchens - the project I'm part of) come in - giving free and low cost training to people who want and need it most.

I think people with learning disabilities should all have chances like these - to really change their life, and have fun while they do it. So that's why I'm running for Manor Gardens - because I think work like this is so important for people with learning disabilities.
