Right To Play protects, educates & empowers children to rise above adversity. Using the power of play we help them stay in school, withstand exploitation, prevent disease and heal from war and abuse. We enable them to make positive choices, creating better futures for themselves and their societies.

Story

Hello,

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Let me tell you what and who i am running for. The Charity i am running for is Right to Play. They hold festival days in all over the world in areas of hardships where they teach important values such as inclusion and the value of community using specially designed sport games and exercises. They also take the festival days as an opportunity to vaccinate the children in the areas they are working in.

In 2009, my university football team, The Brighton Panthers, are planning on going on a tour of Africa for three months. We plan on visiting areas of hardship to hold basic educational, football coaching and social development workshops. We also plan on making a film of the experience. A travel documentary if you will, to highlight where our good work is having, and not having an affect, and also to promote the good work of charities from all over the world in Africa. We plan on playing a series of friendly games out there against local sides as well, so that we can hold more of these festival days.

We plan on visiting South Africa, Kenya and Ghana. The Brighton Panthers are trying to raise ten thousand pounds for our partner charity Right to play as they are helping us organise and promote the trip. I myself am only trying to raise four hundred pounds, by running the half marathon in London on October the 12th, so anything you can give really will help a lot and will be greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to contact me at brightonpanthersworldtour@hotmail.com if you wish to find out more about the trip or how to get involved. We are constantly looking for sponsors and affiliates as well as many other positions. So please, feel free to offer any advice or help that you think will benefit the Brighton panthers and their Africa tour!

thanks so much for your donations!!
