London to Paris Bike Ride · 16 May 2018

Arcobaleno Cancer Trust was founded in 2017 by cousins and friends of the Carnevale family and serves in memory of our loved ones - Bruna, Dino, Sebastian and Giovanni. Our aim is to support the advancement of medical research into the causes, treatments and cures for cancer.

Story

Hello friends

It’s the time of year that I come to you with my cap in hand asking for donations towards my charity bike ride.

Last year you helped me raise a substantial £5300.00 for the Royal Marsden Hospital. This was an accumulation of several rides, the furthest of which was 50 miles. Because I am slightly bonkers, and I want to raise a lot more this year, I have set myself the challenge of completing the LONDON to PARIS bike ride 16th-19th May. A ride of approx 300 miles (avoiding detours/getting lost) which will take take 4 days.

Sally and some friends will be at the the finishing line on the Champs Elysee to greet me, carry me off for a glass of bubbly!

All funds raised for this event will go directly towards groundbreaking research funded by the Archobaleno (rainbow) Cancer Charity Trust - ACT  https://www.arcobalenocancertrust.com/ recently formed in memory of Bruna, Dino, Sebastiano and Giovanni Carnevale. All dear friends who tragically succumbed to this terrible disease.

Many of you will also be aware that Sally has also spent the last 9 months in treatment for breast cancer. It has turned our lives upside down and made me more determined than ever to help fund vital research that may help others.

Please donate as much as you can, and if applicable tick the gift aid box to boost your donation. Whatever the amount, it will be received with gratitude and grace.

It’s hard to keep asking, but it’s great to keep giving.

My thanks in advance.

TONY
