Event: Jurassic Coast Challenge 2021, from 22 May 2021 to 23 May 2021
A second wave of the coronavirus pandemic is sweeping across India, with a devastating impact on peoples lives. Our incredibly dedicated team in India is working around the clock with local authorities to support the COVID response.

Story

Covid-19 is spiralling out of control in India, with health systems unable to cope.  Everyone in India now knows someone who's lost a loved one to Covid-19, sadly. Help the most vulnerable people as they face this devastating new wave.

Hospitals in India are overwhelmed and are running out of oxygen,  intensive care units are almost completely full, and people are being turned away from emergency rooms due to a lack of beds. People are dying and anguished families are waiting for hours to perform last rites. A huge humanitarian crisis is unfolding!

I am taking this challenge to walk along the treacherous  coastline of England on 22 May 2021 to raise money so that we can help save lives !

CARE – a leading UK charity is working around the clock to respond by
setting up temporary COVID hospitals, Care Centres which will facilitate availability of hospital beds, medical oxygen, medical staff, drugs, PPE kits, ramping up the COVID-19 vaccination drive, supporting communities and addressing the immediate relief needs of migrant labourers and families caused by breakdown of livelihoods due to the crisis.

CARE is  a member charity under UK's Disaster Emergency Committee

I would be extremely grateful to anyone who would sponsor me, however small the amount, to complete this ultra-challenge, in memory of some very special people and for those special people who are out there fighting this right now.

Together, we can help stop a COVID-19 catastrophe!
