We are raising much needed funds to help fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It's that time of year when I dress up like an idiot and pound the pavements for this amazing Charity....! Ha Ha!

For those who don't know me, I have severe arthritis in my knees which means I'm unable to run, squat or kneel down.  I'll never be able to.....but...I can walk and I'll be power walking round both courses in fancy dress to hopefully raise lots of cash again for Joining Jack, a local Charity, raising funds for research into a devastating condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  Jack is a little boy who suffers from this condition.  Despite the pain that he endures because of this, he is always smiling and is such a brave young chap...!  He's an inspiration to us all...!

Since my last 10ks in 2017, I've further been diagnosed with arthritis in my collarbone and also hypothyroidism which can also mean painful joints - I'm hoping to be the first Bionic Woman - ha ha! Anyway, enough about me....please sponsor this old crock and help to boost the funds for the research so that many more "Jacks" can live happy and fulfilled lives...!

Thank you :)
