Hey folks! I am so happy you’ve come over to donate. I am hiking the whole SWCP (630 miles!) and am raising money for breast cancer charity Coppafeel throughout. I know times are tough financially for lots of us right now, but charities are also suffering huge income loss and I wanted to see if I could contribute in some way to Coppafeel. It’s likely we may all know someone with breast cancer, but with early detection there is real hope of survival and continue living a wonderful life. That’s what this charity focuses on - teaching all about detection, especially in younger women. I am inspired by their founder - Kris Hallenga - and by all she has done to turn her stage 4 cancer diagnosis at age 23 into an incredible charity that is going strong many years later. She has thrived and survived for 11 years with her diagnosis, and is a beacon of hope and strength for so many, including me.
Some more info about the charity itself:
CoppaFeel! are the first UK breast cancer charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to install a new healthy habit that could one day save a life. They are on a mission to stamp out late detection of breast cancer and ensure the nation is checking their boobs regularly. They want to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to get to know what is normal for them and empower young people to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice anything that isn't right for them.
