Sport has been played at Broughton Playing Fields for many decades. Home to both Adult and Youth Football and Cricket Clubs the playing field provides an invaluable benefit to the community. The current clubhouse was built in the 1970s and while being fit for purpose for many years, no longer serves the community and the sports players well. It is in desperate need of repair and does not satisfy current disability, environmental or team sport requirements as set out by Sport England. Planning permission has been approved for a new building and of the £525K estimated cost to build, the Sports Committee have identified £450K of funding through a combination of sources, we need to raise £75 (100+ cyclist riding for 24hrs) to start the build
