After our Dad passed away we wanted to carry on his legacy.  He was an incredibly charitable man who touched so many lives with his warmth, affection and kindness.  After the horrific tsunami hit Sri Lanka in 2004 he wanted to make a difference so he helped a family by building a house for them and helping their daughter through her education.  She is now a lawyer and we are so proud that Dad helped her achieve her goal.  Dad believed education was extremely important and as a Consultant Psychiatrist that mental health issues need to be addressed.

With this in mind we wanted his legacy to continue to support future generations and this is why we are supporting the Rainbow Centre.  The centre provides education, food, welfare and medical needs to the poorest children in South West Sri Lanka.  We are honoured that the centre will be naming their counselling programme for their most troubled children after Dad, it will be called The Rainbow Centre's Dr Gamini Nanayakkara Counselling Programme.
