As you are aware, I am currently undertaking a sabbatical to work as a volunteer for the charity Global Action Nepal (GAN). Please visit their website for more info: www.gannepal.org

Over £4,000 was successfully raised through the London Triathlon event and my aim is to raise a similar amount through your generous contributions to this website.

My role in Nepal, in Bhaktapur, will be to:

* Train local teachers and volunteers * Help to organise the new GAN Nepal office * Teach English and develop new teaching methods and skills * Direct funding into the School Infrastructure Project * Work with the Women's Group on health and social Issues * Develop business skills through the Youth Programme * Coordinate the Children's Club initiative in Bhaktapur * Promote the Nutrition and Health Camp Programme * Develop the Nursery Education Programme * Work with families to support the needs of street children Should keep me busy and out of trouble!
