London to Cambridge · 28 July 2013

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.

Story

I came to do this by chance. My father was practising for the London to Cambridge cycle ride and I wanted to join in. Clearly the aim is to raise money for charity but I want to personalise it from my perspective. I have suffered from asthma from a early age. It effects me in a mild to moderate way. I am fund raising for Addenbrooke's  Hospital Respiratory Department to buy equipment to manage patients with punctured lungs which is a complication of asthma, trauma and lung disease.

I hope that in achieving my goal that I will show asthma doesn't need to limit me and at the same time raise money for a worthy cause.
