Brighton Brawl · 29 October 2022

You Raise Me Up was founded by the Brooks family in June 2011 following the sudden, tragic loss of daughter, Megan aged just 17. The charity's purpose is to raise funds to help families that have suffered the loss of a child between the ages of 16 & 25, offering mental health & emotional support.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 29th October we are sponsoring a large event at The Hilton Metropole called the Brighton Brawl.

We have chosen You Raise Me Up as our charity as they have seen a huge increase in the need for their services and especially among young people with poor mental health seeking help where other services are stretched.

Losing a young adult is an unimaginable feeling most of us do not know. You Raise Me Up provide a helpline, counselling services, support groups and have a support centre where you can share lived experience of a loss of a young adult.

The 29th October is a date that marks the loss of a beautiful life that is so meaningful to the directors of GAP Solutions. You Raise Me Up have helped/are helping to deal with the loss just like they have for many other families and friends that are going through this difficult time. This is another reason as to why we would like to raise as much money as we can for such an amazing charity.

Any donation you can make, big or small would be massively appreciated and can help so many dealing with loss.
