Story
Our family has recently been affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND). For those not aware, MND affects the brain and nerves and causes weakness which gets worse over time. There is currently no cure for the disease.
We were hoping to raise awareness and organise a fundraising event this coming summer to raise much needed funds for research into the disease and support for those affected by it.
With the current lockdown and social distancing measures in place, we decided to set ourselves a virtual coast to coast garden challenge. Between us (9 adults and 1 child) we aim to cover the distance of 182 miles in 10 days, walking and running in our gardens.
We would appreciate any sponsorship, no matter how small. All funds raised will go directly to the UK based charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The challenge starts on Thursday 23rd April and finishes on Saturday 2nd May. Please follow our journey on social media #gardencoast2coast and share with all your family and friends!
Thank you!
