Story

Gareth Birchley, an obese London wine merchant with a disdain for exercise, and Harry Gurney, an ex professional cricketer turned publican, were coerced (whilst under the influence) by their friend and legendary cricketer Stuart Broad to run the London Marathon for his charity, The Broad Appeal.

Instead of backing out quietly the next day, they duly filled in the forms and suddenly this got very real. Whilst Harry couldn't deny being a competent athlete, Gareth has not undertaken any exercise AT ALL in the last decade. It is a VERY long road ahead...

Sadly Harry has had to withdraw from the marathon due to injury, but Gareth will be joined on the day by his school friend and Ironman, Dov Tate

Please give what you can to make this just that little bit more bearable.

The Broad Appeal was set up by Chris, Stuart and Gemma Broad to help research into Motor Neurone Disease after Chris sadly lost his wife Miche to the illness in July 2010. All funds raised will be directly sent to the MNDA.
