Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. in June 2014 I was diagnosed with Depression. Most people will suffer with depression in their life lasting a short period or possibly, as in my case, chronically. I can go from huge highs to deep lows very quickly and without warning. There are triggers that can set off a period of low mood but it can hit at any time. Symptoms can be low energy, lack of appetite/too much appetite, lack of sleep/too much sleep, lack of interest in everyday tasks etc. depression is treated by counseling, medication or in my case exercise. the worse symptom of depression is attempted or even successful suicide.
Depression kills, FACT!!!
running is the only time i feel normal and that things make sense. unfortunately 2015 as been a pretty poor year of running with a long term injury and lack of motivation(depression?) including an undertrained for VMLM2015 which was supposed to be my last attempt at sub 3hrs.
only finishing in 3hr 15min i have unfinished business with 26.2miles in under 3hrs. Not only am I running for Mind I'm asking my depression to keep up.
