So I hit 40 in December and what better time to run the London marathon than as an unfit 40 year old?

I was supposed to run last year but unfortunately Mum fell ill and passed away which put pay to any training in January and February. 

I could have ran for a cancer charity as that's what took mum but that would be unfair on Dad as I should run for the British Heart foundation in his memory.   As such I am going to run for Accuro a charity I am involved in and where a little amount of money will go a long way.

If you have known me for more than 5 years then you will remember 'big' Gareth, (who is trying to make a comeback after Christmas...) Well if you knew me then then you will recognise the huge achievement that this will be... to be fair if you have known me for less than 2 years you will also appreciate the effort this is going to be!

I have a 16 week training plan and after the 1st week I am on track... broken but on track and your sponsorships will really help to spur me me on when I need it!

Accuro work with children and adults with disabilities and their families and as a local charity they don't have a massive infrastructure that eats up most of the donations, money given will go towards helping those that need the support.
