Dementia Cycle Fred Whitton Challenge

Cycle for Dementia · 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 ·
My father and grandmother succumbed to this horrible disease that wrecks lives and my step father is currently fighting the battle cared for by my Mum who is going through this first hand. It takes it's toll on not only the victims but family and friends who are caring and supporting those with the disease.
I'm therefore taking on Cycle for Dementia, a 112 mile cycle called the Fred Whitton Challenge on May 7th in the Lake District climbing 13000ft in one day. It is considered the hardest one day ride in Britain and has been running annually for many years raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for different charities.
900,000 people are currently living with dementia across the UK. One in three of us born in the UK today will develop dementia in our lifetimes. Its the biggest health and social care challenge we face. Alzheimer's Society vow to help end the devastation caused by dementia, but cant do it without your support. Together we are help and hope for everyone living with dementia.
