Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Shortly before my wedding in March last year my Nan discovered she had terminal cancer.  As selfless as ever she held back this information so that her family could enjoy the day.  When we returned form our honeymoon we were told the bad news - it was a massive shock.

As one of eight grandchildren I know what a brilliant grandmother she was and how lucky we were to have her.  Nan played a big part in our lives and gave us an incredible amount.

For six months Nan quite simply got on with things and never gave up on living her life in the way she always had.  Her spirit throughout this time was truly inspiring and it is something I will never forget.

St Davids Hospice Care were a massive help in making it possible for my Nan to spend her last days at home, surrounded by family and friends.  My family really appreciate the care and support they provided in a time of need.

In memory of Nan and to say thank you to the charity I have decided to run the Pontypool 10k and Newport Half Marathon.  I know that any money I can raise will go to an extremely valuable and deserving cause.
