Story
I am taking part in the Movember challenge which is to grow a Moustache (or "Mo") in the month of November (Mo + November = Movember (clever that)). The reasons for Movember are two-fold. The first of these is to raise awareness of Mens Health Issues and the second is raise a bit of cash for charity. I have chosen not to raise money for the main Movember cause but instead I am raising some cash for The Haven a small, local charity based in Blantyre. These guys provide respite care for people with a variety of terminal illnesses and your donations will really make a difference. If you want to find out more the weblink is http://www.thehavencentre.com/
I had planned to run the Glasgow half-marathon to raise money for these guys but as most of you know I had an injury in my bum which meant that I was unable to finish my training. I am back up and running again but I thought I would give my legs a rest and let my facial follicles do the hardwork. You may think this is an easy option when compared to running but I do run the risk of a really itchy face, ingrowing hairs and excessive ginger facial hair!!
I will be posting regularly updated images on my facebook page so you can check on my progress or alternatively you can come and look at my face. If neither of these options are available (or appealing) to you let me know and I will send on a pic or two.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
