Story
In May 2020 I started the "Couch to 5K" journey using the free Public Health England app to guide me. After years of claiming "I'm not a runner" I was surprised to find I quite enjoy it; and it has provided a regular and welcome break from my desk since being back at work!
To mark the anniversary, and in support of Mind the mental health charity, I aim to run 100 miles during the month of May, including a RunWalkTalk virtual 10K to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.
Miles For Mind is back in 2021! And we know how much charities need our support in these difficult times so we have created a series of events to cover each season in 2021! Four Seasons, One Reason. #MentalHealthMatters
We love the way running brings together a community of like minded individuals, who support & inspire each other on a daily basis. So we wanted to harness this support to help raise money and awareness for mental health and we also want to see how many miles we can clock up together!
So far, the Miles For Mind community have raised over £372,000 for Mind and we're looking to build on this throughout the year. Every £1 you sponsor will help Mind continue the amazing work they do to ensure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
