Student Minds empowers students to build their own mental health toolkit. We also challenge the higher education sector, health sector, and government to make student mental health a priority. Together, we’re improving university communities so that no student is held back by their mental health.

Story

As a uni house, we are running a total of 644km (400 miles), the distance between all of our houses from Blackpool to Surrey across the country, during the month of February, to raise money for Student Minds.

Student Minds are a UK student mental health charity, who empower students and members of the university community to look after their own mental health and create change, through providing support and resources.

We wanted to raise money for this charity as final year students ourselves, we have seen the pressure this past year has put on everybody’s mental health, but particularly students. We have found running to be one of the best coping mechanisms throughout COVID, and wanted to challenge ourselves physically and mentally, to raise money for this amazing cause! We will be tracking our progress through Strava and on our just giving page, so any donations are greatly appreciated; even better if you join in too!
