Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
Of all the amazing charities working in the UK today the NSPCC is the one closest to my heart. The Prudential Ride London is aiming to be the biggest charity fund raising event in the World this year! A pretty spectacular achievement in what is only its second year. With over 80,000 applications to take part and around 20,000 places available I am so pleased to not only be one of the lucky 20,000 but to be doing so representing the NSPCC.
Those of you that see me regularly will remember that three years ago I tried to take my life in a different direction. As a middle aged obese man I decided to make a change during which I rediscovered cycling. There have been a few bumps and bruises along the way (and broken arms and shoulders) but 2014 finds me almost 4 stone lighter and signed up for some truly demanding cycling events but it is this ride that means the most to me and that is because of who I am cycling for.
Please support me by donating to my NSPCC Just Giving page; in doing so you will be making a real difference and helping some of the most vulnerable children in our country today. Every donation no matter how big or small will help to change the life of a vulnerable child; that is a pretty amazing opportunity you have. If you can afford to please give today; it may be the most important thing that you do today! When you go to bed tonight you will know that if nothing else you have done at least one amazing thing today and helped a child that without your donation may not have received help.
Thank you all
Garry
