Story

Next year, like many of you, I’ll be running the Cambridge Half Marathon and I’ve set myself the challenge of doing it in 90 minutes.  One of the reasons I’m here and able to take on this challenge is the support I received from the Counselling team at Arthur Rank Hospice, following my wife Zoes death.  In the aftermath of her death I was hit with some of the darkest thoughts and feelings a person can imagine.  But being able to talk with the ARH Counsellor was a massive help and allowed me to put things into perspective, gain strength and see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Now, I am lucky enough to have found a new love and built a new life with a bright future.  The incredible people, who make up the ARH Counselling Team, are all volunteers.  Without them, and charitable donations, there would be no support for those left bereaved.  So, I would like to run this Half Marathon to raise much needed funds for the team.  Please donate if you can......and please don't hold my being a Man City fan against me ;)
