Story

My sister in law Sarah Smither had never walked into a hospice before, or had any reason to think she would need to, but when her husband James, aged just 33 was diagnosed with bowel cancer that changed.

The couple had been together for 12 years after meeting at university. They had been married for 2 years before James was diagnosed with a rare form of bowel cancer at the beginning of 2012. After a short but fierce battle, he passed away at St Peter's Hospice on 16th March 2012 with his wife and Mum by his side.

Sarah, his family and his many friends are immensely proud of his strength and bravery and will treasure their memories of his life forever.

This ride is going to be very challenging for me but it is for a great cause. Please give generously and support me and St. Peter's hospice.
