Story
THREE daredevilcolleagues at Addaction Chy, are planning to take to the sky and jumpout of perfectly working aircraft – for fun.
The team is hoping toraise £1,000 in sponsorship, As a team, we are supporting Addaction, the UK's leading drug & alcoholcharity, in furthering the great work they do to support people up and down thecountry who have problems with drugs or drink whichwill pay towards the £1000 towards a new group room at theresidential rehabilitation centre in Truro, Cornwall.
The jumpersare Gary Hales, Joe Pepper and Shana Kent.
Gary a formerresident of Addaction Chy said: “We currently use the same roomfor eating dinner in as we do for group sessions, art workshops and play musicand that’s not ideal as people can sometimes unload in one room; and then haveto eat there too.
“We want to build a newgroup room in the grounds of Chy, but separate from where people go torelax and enjoy meditation and acupuncture d acupunctureThe funding isn’t easy to get at the present, so we’ve decided to raise themoney another way.
“We’re quite confidentabout it at the moment, but I’m sure the nerves will kick in come March.”
The fund-raising projectwill also form part of Gary’s work towards a degree in Health, Community and Social Science at Cornwall College.
The parachute jumps willtake place with Cornish Parachute Club in Perranporth atthe end of March.
