Story

In 1936 200 marched from Jarrow to London  to present a petition to the Government demanding solutions to poverty and unemployment blighting their town.

In this 20th anniversary year of the tragedy of Damilola Taylor I am cycling from London to Jarrow. My objective is to raise money to go towards the trusts core costs in 2021 in what will be a very challenging period for the charity youth sector

I also want to raise awareness to the poverty and youth unemployment that is a huge problem in London and likely to get worse in 2021. London is an extremely rich city but it is also riddled with social inequality with 4 in 10 children living in poverty. Wealth disparity underpins crime and violence

Please help spread our legacy campaign message of hope www.hope2020.uk as if we invest in young people and truly help our poorest communities level up then there is hope for the future as nobody needs to be left behind!
