On the 8th October, team RWC which includes Mark Stirling, Russell Champion, Davide Perilli, Louise Oades, Sophie Turnell, Geordie Barron and Gary Tuffield will embark on a truly challenging cycle ride. They are taking on the Pyrenees, starting in Biarritz and ending in Barcelona. Over 650km's and a zillion ft of climbing up some of Europe's steepest roads all in aid of raising money for The Oscar Foundation, over 5 days. Team RWC will also be joined by Nathan Delaney, Tim Pulham, Matthew Goodsir and Scott Goodsir.

RWC Partners have kindly sponsored the ride with a £10k donation. 

The Oscar Foundation was set up in 2010 by Gary Tuffield and his wife in memory of their son, Oscar. The Oscar Foundation's main focus over the last few years has been the on-going management of Oscar's Home, an orphanage in Kalakkad, Southern India. Oscar's home has been completed funded by The Oscar Foundation from purchase of the land to building of the home itself and meeting the on-going running costs. The home now houses 20 children, providing food, shelter and schooling to give some young children the opportunity of a brighter future.

99p of every £1 raised over the last 8 years has gone in to improving the lives of underprivileged children. The orphanage in India is one of many projects that the Oscar Foundation has undertaken. The orphanage itself needs £15k a year to provide a home and a safe environment for these children to survive and flourish.
