Story
Well, where do I start! Job done as far as the challenge is concerned., 24.5 miles in just under 10hrs 40 mins!
A huge thank you to everyone that sponsored me. What I can tell you is that, this was the hardest physical and mental challenge I have done in over 27 years without question. It was harder than I could ever have imagined, without the help and support of my colleagues and friends it could have been a very different outcome. What drove me was the real reason for doing this, all in memory of my sister who I miss terribly. I made a donation of £50 for the Yorkshire air ambulance service, as did all my colleagues, thanks again, Gary x
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know, my sister Mo was taken from us in December 2012, for those who knew her will appreciate and understand what a very special person she was, to see someone you love taken away with such a horrible illness, can't be put into words. She is missed more and more each day!
Now for the challenge, I have agreed to put myself through the pain barrier and with some work colleagues will be walking the three Yorkshire peak on the 12th of June, 24 miles in what we hope will be under 12hr.
Please support this great cause in the knowledge I will be aching from head to toe and am sure to have many blisters, this I'm sure will put a smile on many faces!
I suppose I better start preparing for this " marathon" of a challenge!
Thanks for visiting my page, wish me luck :)
