Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2013 I’ll be running 15 marathons. The marathons are pretty tough, but over the year I’ll complete about 3000 miles of training. Hot, cold, rain or shine I’ll be out running keeping myself fit enough to complete the year of challenges.
So far I have entered the following events:
Feb 17 Osmotherley trail Marathon
March 2 Endurance Life Trail Marathon
April 14 Druridge Bay Marathon
April 21 London Marathon
April 28 Marathon of the North
May 26 Howgill Trail Marathon
June 9 Baslow Boot Bash Marathon
July 7 Hamsterely Forest Marathon
August 11 Northumberland Coast Marathon
Oct 06 Kielder Marathon
Oct 20 York Marathon
Oct 27 Newcastle town Moor Marathon
Nov 09 Goathland Trail Marathon
Dec 08 Newcastle Racecourse Marathon
As you can see April and October are pretty busy!
Why am I doing this? Well, my wife has lost two uncles to MND so it has been a big part of our family life. Motor Neurone Disease is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. There is still no cure for MND and that is why your donations are so important.
Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for taking the time to look at me page and if you could spare some money that would be great.
