Gateshead Foodbank is a local charity set up to offer emergency food for Gateshead people in crisis. We are part of the Trussel Trust’s network of foodbanks. We work together with frontline Care Professionals to distribute food via a specialist distribution centre in central Gateshead.

Story

***UPDATE - we smashed our original target of £500 so we've increased it to £2000. Thank you so much to everyone for your support and please keep donating!! We've also smashed the mileage challenge so we've added extra miles on, and now we're also going to Murrayfield and back as well!***

Thanks for visiting the Gateshead RFC Twickenham Challenge fundraising page.

Over the May bank holiday weekend, players and club members from Gateshead RFC are coming together to raise money for Gateshead Foodbank.

Between us, we're aiming to run, walk and cycle the distance from Hedley Lawson Park, home of Gateshead RFC, to Twickenham Stadium, home of England Rugby, and then back. This is a total of 554 miles.

During this difficult period, we're hoping to support some of the most vulnerable people in our community by raising money for the local foodbank, where it will be used to provide emergency food packages for people and families in crisis.

Your donations will go to a great cause so please support the players and members by giving whatever you can to this great cause whilst they pound the streets
