Objective: Cycle the length of France
When: July 2011
Who: Gavin and Jack Davidson
Nominated Charity: Caring For Life
It is our aim this summer, to cycle the length of France, beginning in the small port town of St-Malo in Northern Brittany, and following the Atlantic Coast to the Southern city of Biarritz.
We hope to complete this journey, of around 850km, by cycling approximately 75km a day for 11 days. Hopefully the weather will be nice for the duration of the trip, but this is certainly no easy task!
Therefore, in order to give us some extra motivation whilst out there in France, we'd like to raise some money for a charity very close to both our hearts in Caring For Life. Caring For Life is a charity based upon Christian values, who's aim is to support homeless or vulnerable people via the provision of accomodation, ongoing support, friendship and general 'care'.
Whilst homelessness is often what brings people to the attention of CFL, this if often just the tip of the iceberg, and a whole range of other problems lie beneath the surface. A large proportion have experienced physical or sexual abuse, some have learning difficulties, others a psychiatric disorder or psychological problems, and some have been involved in offending or drug abuse. As such, CFL seeks to address all these issues in the most practical way possible.
Please give generously, and help us towards our target.
Many Thanks,
Gavin and Jack
