Story
10 years ago I did my first Ultra Marathon. It was the Thames Path Challenge in 2013. It took me over 19 hours. I told Robby my running coach who ran with me that I was definitely going to die at mile 60. I didn't.
I swore I would never run another ultra. I did. Lots. And became a qualified running coach.
So this is a bit of an anniversary and who knows maybe a swansong.
Big life events appear to coincide with ultras. My dad had a heart attack days before my first one and had a quadruple bypass while I was running/walking/whimpering. The morning of my final long run for another, I found out we were having twins. And this time, we have recently found out my mum has Alzheimer's.
I don't need to say anymore than the fundraising is remarkably personal and its a remarkably important cause.
Anything you can do will mean the world.
