In September 2020 Grainne was involved in a serious RTC while working in the community. The Air Ambulance was dispatched to the scene where their expertise helped Grainne before transferring her to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
After 8 weeks Grainne returned home to our family where she has continued to recover from her injuries. The work the Air Ambulance performed at the scene was both life-saving and changing.
As a way of thanking the Air Ambulance team, we are fundraising to help support this vital service to continue for others who may need their expert assistance.
We have organised several events including running the London Marathon 2022, Pub Quiz April 2023, and Sponsored Spin Cycle in Dungannon Leisure Centre October 2023. To date, we have raised almost £6000.
On Sunday 5th May our Daughter Aisling is going to walk the 8-mile sponsored walk event as part of the Belfast City Marathon events. This year the official charity for the Belfast City Marathon is Air Ambulance Northern Ireland
