Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.

Our company, PACE Networks, was founded by Brian Cullum and his sons, Jon and Rob, in 2012. Brian sadly lost his life to cancer, but the support that he and his family received from the Leckhampton Hospice was exceptional and provided comfort and respite in a terrible situation. As a business we have supported Sue Ryder ever since, and I will be delighted to help raise vital funds to support such an important cause.

We all hope that we will never need services such as those provided by Sue Ryder, but if we or a loved one were to need their support we would want it to be there, and supporting my cause will help to ensure that it is. £25 could help fund an hour of expert care and help fill another family’s final days with love.

I am a keen runner, but have never been much past the half marathon distance before. This will definitely be a challenge, particularly as I want to achieve a time that makes me proud - it's not just about finishing. Knowing that my efforts are raising money to support people in a time of need will really help me to push through the pain barrier.
