Story
Hello! It is Monday 19th April, where I had expected to tell you all about the start of my trek (after a day in the sweltering heat in Delhi)...such as the McLeod Ganj, the home of the exiled Dalai Lama, and the beauty of the high snow-clad Dhaual Dhar ranges of the Himalayas. I was looking forward to hiking through forests, traversing rivers, climbing mountains, picking my way across a glacier and sleeping beneath the stars (in a tent) in the freezing cold weather.
However, I am not able to tell you about this charitable trek as it, too, has been affected by the recent flight chaos caused by the volcanic eruption. The trek has been postponed until this autumn or next spring, whereby I remain committed.
I wish to thank all of you for your support of me and the Wellbeing of Women. WOW will use your funds wisely and pragmatically as their aim is to improve women's health through education and research. The monies raised will be used for medical research (for better treatments and cures); specialist training for young doctors (to deliver treatments); and excellent information for women (to know when to seek help and how to stay well).
As I have prepared for this charitable trek, I wish to thank you all for your unwavering support.
Warm regards,
Gay
