Story

Hi everyone, welcome to our just giving page.

We have created this page in order to raise money for The Welsh Ambulance Service Paramedics based in North Wales who responded urgently to Gareth Griffiths and performed tirelessly for over two hours to help him, and also for services who provide much needed healthcare in North Wales. Unfortunately Gareth passed away on New Year’s Day, the family are extremely grateful for the rapid response and the ambulance services level of care for not only Gareth but the whole family.

‘Gaz’ was 47, and had a passion for football, supporting both Everton and Wales throughout his life. He had recently travelled to Qatar to live his dream of watching and experiencing Wales play in the World Cup, as well as attending Everton’s games with his season ticket. Alongside supporting football, Gaz coached Mynydd Isa U19's team whilst his nephew Ryan played for them as well as playing five a side football weekly as a goalkeeper.

We have organised a charity football match, in honour of Gaz, which will be taking place on Saturday 3rd June at 12:30 pm in the Argoed Sports Social. The football teams will consist of Gaz’s family, friends, work colleagues and players from the U19's team which Gaz managed. Everyone is welcome to come and support the charity match, however, if unable to attend, we have set up this page in order to provide an additional way for people to donate.

Refreshments after the match will be provided in the Griffin, Mynydd Isa, which will also  be showing the FA Cup Final. For more information, please contact, Greg Moffat or Ryan Griffiths.

We hope you can support this cause in any way that you can, any donations would be greatly appreciated.
All the money raised will be shared between the Welsh Ambulance Service and to Health Care Services based in North Wales.
Let’s make Gaz proud!
