100 Miles in May for Mind

100 Miles in May for Mind · 26 April 2021
Lets walk 100 miles in May to support mental health!
This May I am raising money for Mind and invite you to join in with me. Mind is a charity that supports people with mental health conditions, they provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Over more than 60 years Mind has worked to improve the lives of all people with experience of mental health problems. Through public campaigns, government lobbying and more than 1,000 services our local Minds have delivered in communities.
My plan and how you can take part too
In May I plan to walk daily and will be using an app on my phone to track how many miles that I do and I will be doing a minimum of 100 miles. I will be planning all sorts of walks and will be ending with a walk to the top of Mount Snowdon on May 31st. I will also be supporting this fundraiser with a "24-Hour Rags to Riches 2 Charity Stream" on May 28th. All of my streams in May will also push the fundraiser.
I really want to encourage others to also take part in this! Walking is great for your mental health and in the past 12 months we have got very used to being indoors! With restrictions lifting here in the UK this is a great time to get out and walk, and if it is also safe to do so where ever you are in the world, then you can take part too! To take part just download a tracking app on your phone like Strava and walk daily in May to achieve 100 miles across the month. Share your progress on social media and tag me in it, also share this page so others can get involved and make donations. We also have a channel in our community to share any photos from your walks!
Donate
I have set a target to raise £2000! This is a huge target that can only be achieved with your support. Please donate if you can, even if you don't take part in walking 100 miles. And if you do take part, make sure you share this page to encourage others to donate and support it.
Thank You!
