• Provided gaming carts at the Children's Day Unit at UHL, which gave young patients a welcomed distraction during tests, procedures, or minor surgery.
• Our Winter Appeal helped purchase winter clothing for patients and presents for children who were in the hospital at UHL and QEH over the festive period, ensuring they are comfortable when returning home.
• Funded a state-of-the-art breast biopsy machine which speeds up the diagnostic process
• Funded a range of new equipment, such as a Swedish birthing chair, to improve patient experience in our maternity services
• Improved rest areas for our valued staff and created wellbeing hubs with dedicated emotional support, particularly important during Covid
• Provided an Activities trolley for our dementia patients on Ward 17 at QEH which helps patients feel less distressed, maintain their sense of time, and helps them sleep and rest better.
