Story
Following a slight snowboarding mishap, I've fractured my femur and despite my best efforts to convince everyone I can probably do it anyway just on no training (ortho and physio teams included), the voices of reason have prevailed and I'll be pulling out of the Bath Half on the 1st March. HOWEVER this just means I'll be delaying 'til the 13th September, when I'll be running the Bristol Half Marathon instead.
The good news is, this gives me more time to a) train, and much more importantly, b) raise more money.
I'll still be doing it for Anna Crossman, fundraising for the charity her parents set up in her memory to help support the Auxilium School and Orphanage where she worked during her gap year. The children are from incredibly poor backgrounds, and of course, those in the orphanage have no support at all. This is something Anna felt very strongly about and I want to do the best I can do help carry on the work she did. I've given up smoking and started hardcore training in preparation, and any show of support would be greatly appreciated.
Every penny donated goes directly to the children and makes a huge difference. Any donation, however big or small would go a really long way!
