LOROS Hospice is a local charity delivering free care and support to over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year. Our free high-quality, compassionate services are tailored to be special and unique to each terminally ill patient, their family and carers.

Story

On 12th May 2012 22 employees from GE Druck Ltd, Groby; Leicestershire will attempt to complete the three peaks challenge (see below information). The team will consist of:

Karen Brierley, Paul Garner, John Seal, Dave Worthington, Steph and Rob Clark, Nick Johnson, David Roe, Helene Doggett, Ian Nutt, Richard Hall, Alan Bontoft, Karl Bieleit, Aaron Wardle, Brendan Doyle, Brian Jones, Steve Mitchell, Mark Hodson, Brian Edwards, Warren Taylor, Alistair Mckendrick and Tom Whitmore.

We will begin at 6:30am on May 12th and hopefully finish by 6:30am on May 13th.

Other charities are also being collected for during this challenge but this page is for those wishing to donate towards LOROS; Hopsice Care for Leicestershire and Rutland.

 Ben Nevis (Highlands, Scotland): 1344 metres - 10 miles - 5 hours
Drive Stage 1: 250 miles - 6 hours
Scafell Pike (Cumbria, England): 978 metres - 5 miles - 4 hours
Drive Stage 2: 200 miles - 5 hours
Snowdon (Gwynedd, Wales): 1085 metres - 9 miles - 4 hours

TOTALS:

Summit Height: 3407 metres
Walk: 24 miles
Drive: 450 miles

Target Time: 24 hours
